Not sure if the description is accurate or if it also do something like using the "reset()" function for formlists.
#Skyrim save game cleaner mod mod
Shouldn't be used if you haven't deleted forms manually from savetool yourself with the functions available under Mod Editor.Ĭlean formlist -> Don't need to use unless you uninstalled a mod that used to add things to formlists which wasn't defined by the mod itself (but such mod should have an un-installation procedure built-in). Removing scripts attached to nonexistent created form -> If you need to use it, you probably have other issues somewhere with a seriously broken mod, or messed up your savegame as hell. But tbh honest, uninstalling->cleansaving->removing orphaned if any->re-installing would probably be safer.
#Skyrim save game cleaner mod update
Removing script with invalid variables -> Should only be used if a mod which added scripts to references have been updated, and the update changed properties/variables on that object. The other advanced button, removing scripts having invalid variables, looks like something I shouldn't touch. Most of the other buttons I press don't do anything (nothing to be cleaned/done/0 scripts 0 instances removed), but there is one I think I should use, which is Remove scripts attached to nonexistent created forms as that one removes 231 script instances and is described to be use for troubleshooting when the game crashes where the last few things on the papy log has something to do with FF00XXXX's, which is happening to me. Would anyone recommend using the other functions? The tool author already describes their uses, but I am unsure on whether I should use them. There are a variety of buttons and functions which look like they can be of help, but I am not entirely sure I should use them because the tool author only instructs to use the "FixScriptInstances" function as that one removes the orphaned scripts. Second thing is about the savetool itself. Must've gone wrong somewhere do you think I should just clean using savetool like normal or try to update from USKP to USLEEP properly? (I still have the save files using UKSP) which is weird because literally no one has this issue and everyone updates hassle free.

However, surprisingly, said mod is USKP, as I replaced it with USLEEP. Unsurprisingly, the orphaned scripts come from removed mods. "Fixing" them through savetool should be theoretically be of some help, but there are a few things I need to ask Started noticing some random CTDs (none of them save crushing ones, thank goodness), so I decided to take a look at my save through savetool, and lo and behold, I have orphaned scripts.
